You may be wondering why Lymphatic Drainage is located under the CranioSacral dropdown tab. Both CranioSacral (CST) and Lymphatic Drainage Therapies (LDT) are gentle touch therapies that can work seamlessly together, can be added to other massage techniques, or can be stand alone treatments.

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy works directly on the lymphatic system of the body. The lymph system runs parallel to the blood circulatory system and runs throughout the body. The function of the Lymphatic System (LS) is to maintain proper fluid balance, detoxify, regenerate tissue, filter out foreign substances and maintain a healthy immune system. When the LS is not performing well, inflammation can exist that you may or may not be aware of in your body. Inflammation can cause pain and dysfunction, result in an accumulation of metabolic wastes and toxins and compromise the body’s ability to maintain a healthy state. This scenario leads to physical ailments and hastens the aging process.

Benefits of Lymphatic Drainage:

• Reduction in edemas (swelling) of various origins
• Relief of subacute and chronic pain
• Relief of numerous chronic and subacute inflammations, including sinusitis, bronchitis and otitis
• Regeneration of tissue, including burns, wounds and wrinkles
• Detoxification of the body
• Reduction in the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia
• Antispastic actions to relieve conditions such as muscle hypertonus and some forms of constipation
• Deep relaxation to aid insomnia, stress, loss of vitality and loss of memory
• Anti-aging effects
• And many other benefits

“I’ve had lipo 360 done on 9/25/2020. Following surgery I was really swollen, in tons of pain, and had a lot of fluid that would move from side to side with every move I’d make. I was in need of lymphatic drainage massages. Came across “Ingleside Therapeutic Massage & Yoga” online, and made an appointment with John McCann to get my first lymphatic drainage massage. I didn’t know what to expect, and I didn’t know much about the benefits of lymphatic drainage massages post liposuction, I just knew I needed to get them asap lol. They have Covid-19 precautions in place, safety first! John was very informative before and during the massage. Letting me know what specific maneuvers were for. The massage wasn’t painful, he used just the right amount of pressure. Following my first massage, I felt a significant difference in the amount of fluid moving from side to side, along with a decrease in swelling. I had an increase in energy and the feeling of sluggishness decreased. That’s when I knew this is the place for me! I ended up getting the package deal for 6 massages for the price of 5. After my first 6 massages I must say, my body is completely different from when I first stepped foot into Ingleside Therapeutic Massage & Yoga. The fluid and swelling is nonexistent at this point. Im currently getting another package deal for optimal results. Thank you John!!!” Ingrid M.
